Commercial Name Transfer and Renew Plates
Price: $118 USD
Transferring a car title consists of two steps, one for the seller and one for the buyer. First, the seller has to release ownership of the car by signing the title.
The buyer then takes the signed title and then we can issue a new registration and the title is mailed by the State.
Some states might require additional paperwork to complete the process, such as a bill of sale or a transfer of ownership form.
The CA DMV requires drivers to renew their car registration on an annual basis.
This is important for drivers who just moved into California and are not aware of this obligation. You are allowed to renew your car registration in California 60 days prior to the expiration date.
Usually, getting your car registration renewal notice serves as a reminder of the expiration date to avoid late fees. Note that the CA DMV does not give any grace period for late renewals.
